Eiji was born to a powerful family in Union. The Hinos were wealthy and close to the center of government. As such Eiji was privvy to a life of luxury and higher education. Interestingly enough, for all the privilege Eiji was born with, he never acted like he was better than anyone else. In fact, it seemed that Eiji was dead set on helping others from an early age. As he got older, he began traveling with his grandfather outside Union. The man was an enlightened trainer and given that Eiji was likely to be one, too, wanted to give him a proper taste of the world. Eiji absolutely loved it and did so during school breaks up until his grandfather passed away. His grandfather left him with these final words: A man doesn't know when he might die, so always make sure you have good pair of underwear. After he finished school Eiji began to volunteer at a local orphanage, despite his parents' wishes. It was hard and humbling work, but he loved it. He felt like he was really making a difference in someone's life, just like he'd always wanted. Unfortunately, it was short lived. A few months after he began work, the floors containing the orphanage caught fire and burned to nearly nothing. Despite the emergence of Eiji's enlightened status, his powers and typing could do nothing to save the children and most everyone died exept for him. Eiji was dragged out of the wreckage barely alive and then sent straight to the best medical care his family could afford. Because of this, he was one of very few survivors. His family used the story to further their standing in Union. They dressed Eiji up as a hero, and gave very little regard to how the entire thing affected him. In reality Eiji blamed himself for the cause of the fire, having given his money to fix the floors up only for the owners of the orphanage to pocket the money themselves. So, Eiji left. One day out of the blue he just disappeared, leaving behind everything he owned. He would be gone for nearly a year after that, traveling across the lands, meeting new people and seeing new places with his Fletchling, Hina at his side. It was by a random happenstance that he wound up in Union again with the intent of working up some money with odd jobs so he could go back out again. Looks like fate had other plans. MOVES Powder Snow: Attacks with a chilly gust of snow, may also freeze the target Ice Punch: An icy punch. May cause freezing. Ice Shard: freezes chunks of ice and hurls them at the target.
